Head Coach/Assistant Coach
Responsibilities
General Rules
· players can only practice amongst their own division (D with D etc.) and boys
with boys/girls with girls in the A and B divisions
· make sure the playing field is safe to play on and all players have the proper
equipment
. ONLY registered players should be on the field with your team; visiting
players allowed under certain circumstances – see the Player Agent.
· when practice is finished, make sure their parents or guardian has picked up
all players
· the Club will not tolerate any profanity by a coach; please coach your players
away from using profanity as well.
Game Day Responsibilities
All coaches should make sure of the following:
- should arrive 30 minutes in advance of the game time
- make sure field is playable and safe – including goals/nets
- after the game, clean up around benches and bleachers
If you have the first game of the day on our home field please do these
tasks:
- take out benches from the shed as needed
- put corner flags out on field
- put line flags on benches
If you have the last game of the day on our home field please do these tasks:
· take in the benches and put in shed
· put corner flags back in shed
· put line flags back in shed
· make sure field is cleaned up and no clothing left behind
It is the coach’s responsibility to have the field prepared for the game and not
the referees. The coach must contact the Player Agent for any changes with their
games as soon as possible.
